About Mindy’s design

“Korean food has blown up... But growing up, I always had to take an extra step to be careful about the food I ate at home and how it translated outside. My mom would hide the kimchee from our refrigerator when we had non-Korean visitors or I would not eat kimchee before a school presentation or event. Now I am so proud of the beautiful smells of my kimchee breath.”

Mindy is a Korean Los Angeles-based graphic designer (artistically known as Happyminders) who describes her art as “for the weird and curious”. Mindy’s work is highly influenced by her family, friends, city, and longing to deliver stories of human goodness, diversity, and strength.
