
We’ve all wondered how celebrities are always flawless--Sofia Vergara’s hair, Julia Roberts’ smile, Bradley Cooper’s beard. But most of all, how all of them manage to have perfect skin. Matter of fact, what you see on screen isn’t entirely manipulated by photoshop or video editing. Various celebrities have openly stated their struggle with maintaining clear skin, and have even shared tips on how to do so. We’ve identified three celebrities with glowing skin on screen, but who also put in the behind-the-scenes effort to look fabulous.
Emma Stone
Now the face or Revlon and an award winning actress, Emma Stone suffered from hormonal acne when she was 17-years-old, and then stress-related acne when she was 20. She was put on Accutane but it dried her skin, mouth, and lips. She took the alternate route of using other products such as Cetaphil, bar soap, and Elta lotion. In addition, she uses tea tree oil to satisfy her sensitive skin to keep in smooth and nearly acne-free.
Kerry Washington
As one of the spokespeople for Neutrogena, Kerry Washington revealed some of her tips and tricks on how she maintained clear skin. She actually suffered from severe eczema as a child and learned that consuming fish-oil pills, drinking lots of water, and avoiding dairy helped. She is now more conscious of what she puts on every morning. She notes that it is important to let the skin breathe--she avoids foundation and uses a bit of concealer.
Gwyneth Paltrow
Gwyneth Paltrow has oily and thus acne prone skin, and is sure to maintain a precise morning regimen: she rinses her face with water first and then uses cleanser, moisturizes, applies sunscreen, then applies light makeup after. She is especially focused on her clean, organic diet. She states, "What you put into your body has a direct effect on your complexion, so ffed yourself with foods that will nourish and sustain your skin." She drinks lots of smoothies and loves her typical grilled chicken salad for lunch.
